Rainbow Municipal Water District (northern San Diego County) is hiring a Design Engineer to support projects like pipeline replacements, large wastewater projects, and pump station upgrades.
Your mission will be to fill a pipeline of “shovel-ready” projects for our first in-house CIP construction crew, which will be phased in over the next three years. Work spans AutoCAD Civil 3D design, hydraulic modeling, CIP planning, private development plan review, and construction support.
We're a small, agile agency serving northern San Diego County. We move fast here — three pump stations from bid to built in 10 months — and we need someone who can keep up the pace.
Open at three levels, $115,289 – $195,300 DOQ, depending on experience. The most important thing is that you love the craft of hands-on design work and want to be involved in the full CIP project lifecycle.
• Assistant Engineer: BS in Civil/Mechanical Engineering required, EIT preferred
• Associate Engineer: 2–5 years water utility design experience, EIT required, CA PE preferred
• Engineer: 5+ years water utility design experience, active CA PE required
