Information Technology Specialist

Walnut Valley Water District is excited to announce that it’s accepting applications for Information Technology Specialist.

WVWD is seeking a dedicated individual to join the team as a Information Technology Specialist. In this position, you’ll become a pivotal part of Walnut Valley Water District’s Information Technology department. You’ll perform various tasks associated with maintaining the District’s information systems that includes providing technical support and training on the use of personal computers, printers, peripheral equipment, and network systems hardware and software; resolving computer application problems and troubleshooting hardware malfunctions; assisting in maintaining and administering voice and data network systems; providing technical support, installation, and maintenance for software, desktop computer applications, web based applications, and email systems; installing, configuring, and repairing personal computer hardware and software systems and data communication facilities.

Required (Certification, Licenses & Experience)

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field with coursework in technology-related subjects.

• Three (3) years of experience in the development and maintenance of computerized management information systems, installing, configuring, supporting, and troubleshooting personal computers, networks, telephone systems, and associated operating systems and software applications.

• Security+ certification is required.

Desired

• A+, Network+, and Server+ certifications are highly desirable.

• Cisco Certificate in Network Administration (CCNA) is highly desirable.
