Under general supervision an incumbent in this classification performs a variety of skilled-level installation, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of electrical equipment and circuitry, pneumatic, hydraulic and electro-mechanical systems as found in water and wastewater treatment plants and related facilities, as well as other duties as assigned.
An Electrician II requires at least six (6) years prior experience in commercial electrical installation, with at least three (3) years of experience equivalent to the District's Electrician/Instrumentation I level. Experience in electrical maintenance and repair work related to water and wastewater treatment and water distribution and wastewater collection systems and facilities is highly desired.
An Electrical Instrumentation Grade 2 certification through CWEA is required and a Grade 1 Water Distribution System certification must be obtained within 12 months of receiving position.
