Walnut Valley Water District is a California Water District located in Walnut, CA. The District offers excellent benefits, including a monthly health benefit allotment of $ 1,800 for medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage; 2% at 55 for “Classic” CalPERS members as defined by PEPRA, and 2% at 62 for new CalPERS members.
The District is currently seeking a qualified individual, fluent in the languages of English and Mandarin, to join our Customer Service team and work under direct supervision of the Customer Service Manager to perform a variety of customer service related tasks and general office duties. This is a fulltime position.
DUTIES MAY INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, THE FOLLOWING: Receive water payments and deposits; maintain a cash drawer; handle high volume of incoming telephone calls and walk-in customers; establish new customer accounts; receive and respond to customer inquiries; answer and coordinate radio messages from District personnel; communicate diplomatically and knowledgeably with District employees and the general public; and perform other duties as directed.
Education: High school graduation or equivalent supplemented by college level course work or specialized training in general business procedures.
Experience: 1-2 years of general office and customer service experience.
Fluency in the languages of English and Mandarin is required.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Valid California Driver’s License – Class “C”. Must maintain satisfactory DMV record and ability to maintain insurability.
