The District is currently seeking an individual to work under direct supervision of the Customer Service Manager to perform a variety of customer service related tasks and general office duties.

DUTIES MAY INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, THE FOLLOWING: Receive water payments and deposits; maintain a cash drawer; handle high volume of incoming telephone calls and walk-in customers; establish new customer accounts; receive and respond to customer inquiries; answer and coordinate radio messages from District personnel; communicate diplomatically and knowledgeably with District employees and the general public; and perform other duties as directed.

QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High school graduation or equivalent supplemented by college level course work or specialized training in general business procedures.

Experience: 1-2 years of general office and customer service experience.

Ability to speak a second language is desirable but not required.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Valid California Driver’s License – Class “C”. Must maintain satisfactory DMV record and ability to maintain insurability.
